The Mayor's Report included an ordinance regarding property acquisition for roadway purposes under eminent domain. The Public Works Committee Report addressed the purchase of a Public Works truck, amendment to the annual budget, declaration of surplus property, and approval of engineering agreements for bridge inspection services and land acquisition consulting.

The committee reviewed building permit reports for September and October 2025, noting significant activity in single-family attached housing construction. Property maintenance reports detailed substantial fines issued for issues such as broken windows/doors and excessive weeds across numerous lots. Economic development updates noted the opening of several businesses, including Costco. A primary discussion involved the Meyer Data Center rezoning application, specifically focusing on rezoning 91 acres to M-2 and recommending down-zoning the remaining 37 acres to an agricultural or open space classification to create a buffer from existing residential areas. The committee also discussed the Yorkville School District 115 request for annexation and rezoning of 155 acres for future school facilities, which will proceed to City Council and Planning and Zoning hearings in January 2026. Finally, the committee approved the meeting schedule for 2026.
