The council received a presentation from the Texas A&M TOPS program regarding their health education initiatives. Members decided to host a Community Conversation focused on substance abuse awareness and related concerns, leading to the cancellation of the subsequent regularly scheduled meeting.

The board authorized the superintendent to enter into an interlocal agreement with Education Service Center (ESC) 4 to secure technology matching funding provided under the CARES Act, specifically for the procurement of devices and data plans. Additionally, the board adopted a resolution concerning the assignment of fund balance.

The board meeting focused on status updates for various bond projects, including renovations at AJ Briesemeister Middle School and classroom additions at Ball Early Childhood Center. Discussions covered progress on transportation design, agricultural science facility development, district-wide roofing, safety and security infrastructure, and ongoing construction at Barnes Middle School, McQueeney Elementary School, and the baseball/softball complex.
