This Wellness Policy guides Holyoke Public Schools in establishing a school district environment that promotes student health, well-being, and learning. It focuses on comprehensive health education, robust food service operations and nutrition standards, and emphasizes physical education, physical activity, and a supportive social-emotional and physical environment. The policy also outlines provisions for health services, mental health support, employee wellness, and strong community and family engagement to equip students and families with the knowledge and skills for healthy lifestyles, ultimately optimizing student attendance and academic performance.

The meeting included a student showcase presentation highlighting an attendance initiative at Sullivan Middle School. The committee authorized the Superintendent to seek City Council approval for a four-year contract for mobile device management software.
