The meeting included a controller report, where claims paid for August were reported. The executive director reported on the tons of tires processed through the IDEM Waste Tire Grant, the status of 2025 Scholarship Revenue, and monthly recycling totals. A change to the November board meeting date was approved. Website visit statistics for CCRD were also shared.

Updates were provided on a new warehouse tech, office renovation and parking lot project, sales of recycle containers, and outreach events. The September Board Meeting was moved to September 26, 2018.

The salary and retirement committee reported a 3% increase in pay for Debby McGrath and Luke Etheridge effective January 1, 2018, and a 7% retirement contribution for 2017. The committee is also exploring PERF for employees.

Updates were provided on Charlestown's recycling participation, the success of the IDEM CRPG marketing campaign in boosting recycling rates, and the IDEM Waste Tire Grant program. The board discussed an Apartment Complex Recycling Service Policy, with plans to review a draft at the next meeting.

The meeting included discussion and payment of claims, property transfer to River Ridge from Clark County Recycling District, and renewal of an inter-local agreement for recycling with Sellersburg, Clarksville, and Jeffersonville. Staff is removing items from the Highway 62 property, and a bid was received for recycle cards. The removal of the Starlight recycle container was discussed. The Executive Director submitted his resignation, and an interim director was appointed.
