This document presents the Alabama State Plan for the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training (E&T) program, known as A-RESET. The plan's mission is to provide education and training to voluntary SNAP participants to improve their employability and foster self-sufficiency, guided by a vision of 'Commitment + Collaboration + Empowerment = Achievement & Stability'. It targets Able-Bodied Adults without Dependents (ABAWDs) and other work-eligible volunteers. Key program components include Job Retention, Self-Employment Training, Supervised Job Search, Basic/Foundational Skills Instruction, Career/Technical Education, English Language Acquisition, Work Readiness Training, Internships, On-the-Job Training, and Transitional Jobs. For Fiscal Year 2026, the plan outlines expanded partnerships and new participant reimbursement initiatives, all aimed at enhancing employment outcomes and addressing state and local workforce needs.
