The committee meeting included updates on cleanup work in the pocket garden and the Select Board's approval for the DMPC to submit a MVSB grant and create a Facebook page. The proposed DMPC budget for 2026 is $5,000.00. The committee discussed the MVSB grant application and a proposal from Miracle Farms for landscape design, including the possibility of planting shrubbery along Dane Rd. (Rt. 25B). There was also a discussion about remnants from the Moulton House hotel and the need to assess this concern when leveling the park. New business included a suggestion for Movies in the Park as a possible event/fundraiser and an introduction to Betsy's Park in Holderness as inspiration.

The meeting included discussions on researching vendors for building a berm in the parking lot at the Town House, touring the school house, and installing an exterior solar light. The discovery of bats in the Town House was addressed, with plans to contact the Selectmen about an exterminator. The possibility of painting the Town House exterior was discussed, and the idea of a fund raiser yard sale/flea market was introduced, with considerations for location, insurance, and promotion.

The meeting included discussions and reviews of the proposed 2026 budgets for Parks & Recreation and the Library, covering various expenses and projects. The Selectmen also discussed the possibility of bandstand stage extensions, the Halloween party, the July 4th parade, and the annual tree lighting. Additionally, there were reports on School House mini-splits, cemetery wall repairs, Town House exterior paint, and updates to the Town's ADU ordinance. The board also discussed the establishment of a Body-Worn Camera Expendable Trust Fund, adjustments to the Computer Capital Reserve Fund, and various town-related expenses. The board reviewed the State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services fact sheet for permitting freshwater docking structures. The Selectmen approved the Cemetery Trustees request to have the Town Attorney review the 1973 Memorial Park Bylaws and approved requests for transfers to the Town's general fund. The Selectmen received and reviewed monthly reports from the Police Chief and Fire Chief.

The meeting included discussions on the proposed 2026 Highway Department budget, Capital Reserve Funds, Expendable Trust Funds, streetlight maintenance, and Town House maintenance. The Selectmen also discussed property liability insurance, workers' compensation insurance, unemployment compensation insurance, and a cost-of-living adjustment for 2026. The board also discussed the town holiday schedule, an invitation to meet with members of the Inter-Lakes School Board, and new tax software setup. The Selectmen discussed proposed HB 639, which would restrict towns and cities from safeguarding their residents from cryptocurrency mining, and reviewed a notification from NH DES regarding a water conservation plan. The Selectmen reviewed approved Permit by Notification (PBN) construction permit applications and approved the accounts payable and payroll manifests as presented, as well as the general journal entries.

The meeting involved discussions on various permits and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU). The board discussed the changes needed to update the ordinance to comply with the new State requirements on ADU and decided to review all pertinent information before the next meeting to implement a good definition for ADU in the ordinance. There was also an expression of interest in the planning board from a member of the public.
