The Board of Education meeting included discussions and actions on various topics. The Superintendent reported on an upcoming goal setting workshop. The Student Ex-Officio Board Member shared student highlights and achievements. The board approved several action items, including the CSE recommendations and the budget calendar for 2026-2027. They also approved various personnel items, such as rescindment of co-curricular appointments, new appointments including a School Bus Driver, and substitute appointments. The Interim Superintendent discussed a possible additional community survey and potential updates to the visitor recognition statement. The Student Ex-Officio Board Member shared student highlights, achievements, and upcoming events. Building administrators provided updates on curriculum and school activities.

The meeting included the approval of adding an Executive Session to the agenda. The board entered an executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person. The board approved the personnel item listed in section 4.0 A, which included the resignation of Sara Stewart, English as a Second Language Teacher, effective 10/27/2025.

The meeting included a presentation on the External Audit results for the 2024-2025 school year. The board appointed Reagan Binns as a Student Ex-Officio Board Member. The board approved treasurer's reports, tax collector reports, and claims auditor reports. A donation of winter coats for elementary students was also approved. Personnel items were addressed, including appointments, substitute appointments, co-curricular appointments, and volunteers. Changes in employment status and an amendment to an appointment were also approved. Updates were provided on budget/finance, long-range planning, audit, facility, and policy committees, as well as the Cayuga Onondaga School Boards Association (COSBA). The Junior/Senior High School Principal shared updates on planetarium technology, senior meetings, career explorations, and college visits. The Elementary Principal shared photos from fire prevention day activities and highlighted the October trait of responsibility in character education.
