The Board of Education work session included discussions on the Fiscal Year 2025 Audit Review, updates on the 31aa and 27L Grants, and a review of certified count numbers. A resolution was made to give the Superintendent authority to act on behalf of Michigan Center Schools regarding 31aa money. The board also reviewed and updated the priority list and discussed spending for high importance items. Additionally, the board went into a closed session to discuss a personnel issue.

The meeting included recognizing district greatness, with acknowledgments given to the PTO, staff members, and others for their contributions. A budget update was presented, communications were shared, and public expressions were heard. Reports were given on initiatives such as the "Escape the Vape" campaign and a proposed travel club. Athletic and arts updates were provided. The board addressed unfinished business, including NEOLA policy revisions and updates, and new business, such as the Summer Tax Resolution. Board members expressed gratitude to community members for supporting the football team.

An update to the 2025/2026 calendar for Michigan Center Schools was shared, with Thursday, June 3rd, set as the last day of school. There was also a discussion regarding filling the library position at the Jr/Sr high school.
