The committee focused on actions regarding several licensure applications, including the recommendation to convert a medical school faculty license to a restricted license in extraordinary circumstances for a pediatric surgery practitioner. The committee reviewed appearances by multiple applicants, approved motions for various licensure requests, and reviewed and approved lists of initial medical and podiatric licensure applicants.

The Physician Assistant Committee meeting included consideration of two reactivation applications, resulting in one application being held pending further documentation and the other requiring an applicant appearance in January 2026. The Committee also unanimously approved a list of thirty-two initial applicants for physician assistant licensure. Additionally, the Committee received notification that a specific Consent Order had been executed. Updates were provided regarding licensure activity, specifically the number of practice notifications processed in September and October 2025, and details on reactivation applications processed during that period, including the issuance of new licenses. Furthermore, the Committee received an update concerning the Universal Professional and Occupational Licensing Act of 2025 and was advised that the PA Compact Commission continues to meet, has issued an RFP for a data system, and is working on drafting rules.

Key actions included recommending MD licensure for Jane Ann Tuttle and Zohny Samir Zohny following individual appearances, and approving twenty-two other MD licensure applications, including several initial applications, reinstatements, and reactivations. Several applications were placed on hold pending additional information, and two applicants were requested to appear at the January 2026 meeting. Furthermore, the Committee directed staff to invite a medical school faculty licensee to apply for a restricted license conversion. Updates were also provided on various licensure activity reports for September and October 2025, including IMLC activities and Educational Permits, and on the Universal Professional and Occupational Licensing Act of 2025.

They also reviewed and discussed new applications, recommending appearances, placing applications on hold, or recommending licensure. The committee approved a list of initial medical licensure applicants, administrative medicine license applicants, and a podiatric medical license applicant. Updates on licensure activity and other practice credentials for May and June 2025 were received, including IMLC expedited licenses, letters of qualification, interstate telehealth registrations, reciprocal educational permits, and reinstatements and reactivations of licensure. Renewal statistics for various credential types were also reviewed.
