The council meeting included discussion and denial of a fence permit for 103 N. Washington St. due to non-compliance with village ordinances, specifically regarding the use of inappropriate materials. The council also reviewed the proposed closing of the Village’s Clearing Account to simplify the transition to the LOCiS system. Additionally, the FY 2025–2026 Annual Tax Levy was approved. The need to update the Solar Ordinance was discussed, with plans for the Zoning Board to meet and approve amendments.

The council approved several liquor licenses for local businesses. A fence permit was approved for a resident. Discussions were held regarding the purchase of a garage door for the Village Garage. The council approved Halloween trick-or-treat hours, the hiring of a part-time police officer, a subdivision plat, and an insurance renewal. An ordinance was approved to include a new red tag fee. Building permits were reviewed and the council discussed closing the Clearing Account to simplify future fund transfers.

The meeting included reports from the Village Superintendent regarding generators, hydrant flushing, and the Village maintenance garage door. There was a discussion about purchasing a stump grinder attachment for the Village tractor and clarification on vacation payout. The council reviewed and approved Ordinance No. O03-25-09-02, amending Chapter 13.28 of the Tampico Municipal Code to increase the service deposit fee. They also discussed adding a "Red Tag Fee" and reviewed and approved the contract with LOCiS for new software. Joan Johnson provided an update on the Ronald Reagan Birthplace.

Building permits were reviewed, LOCiS training was scheduled, and the October 7 meeting was canceled.

The council discussed Strada providing internet service to residents, exterior options for the water treatment plant, and the possibility of hiring a police officer from Prophetstown. They approved fence permits for multiple addresses. The council also discussed hiring part-time police, the 2024-2025 Treasurers Report, amending the municipal code regarding service deposit fees, and adding a "Red Tag Fee." Additionally, they reviewed a quote from LOCiS for software and discussed hiring Courtney Kennedy for building code and property maintenance issues.
