The meeting included administrator reports covering updates from Sterling Grade School and the Junior High/High School. The superintendent provided updates on election results, the next round of KESA, state assessment results, the SC Football Field and Lighting project, and the Wind Farm Project. The board discussed KASB June Policy Updates, a policy for publications, and lunch prices. They accepted library surplus items for public sale and approved the naming of the theater as The Betsy Dutton Theatre. An executive session was held to discuss teacher contracts. Personnel actions included accepting resignations and extending supplemental contracts for various coaching positions.

The board approved increasing the number of out-of-district kindergarten spots and approved a roofing bid and an HVAC bid. They also discussed the possibility of a 5th coach for Football. The board accepted the resignations of the Assistant Debate/Forensics Coach and the Jr./Sr. High School Principal. They extended supplemental contracts to the Head JH Volleyball Coach and the Assistant JH Football Coach and approved a new Driver's Education teacher.

The Unified School District No. 376 Rice County Board of Education held a Revenue Neutral Rate Hearing, a Budget Hearing, and a Regular Meeting. The board adopted a resolution regarding property taxation policy, authorized to make a Local Option Percentage, and approved the 2024-2025 Budget. Additionally, the board approved student handbooks, discussed moving the extension of building administrator contracts to December, and accepted the resignations of the Assistant HS Boys Basketball Coach and the Director of Maintenance. The board also discussed school security.

The meeting included updates on HVAC/Roofing Projects, Transportation Report, Budget, and Administrative Plans for the Summer. The board approved the addition of a 5th football coach when there are 50 or more students and approved lunch prices for the 24-25 school year. They also discussed teacher contracts and classified pay rates in executive sessions. The board accepted resignations for multiple coaching positions and extended a supplemental contract to Katie Herman as Head JH Girls Basketball Coach. Additionally, they approved the classified pay rates for the 2024-25 school year, a proposed change to Article IV, Section C, Line 11 of the 2024-25 Negotiated Agreement, and the Superintendent's contract for the 2024-25 school year.
