The Village Board meeting addressed several items, including the approval of abstract bills and budget transfers. Key discussions involved updates from the Fire Chief regarding incident logs, a report on heating issues at the Fire Hall, and a detailed review of an insurance policy for the Shortsville Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce (SMACC) concerning their Wild Water Derby event, specifically liability limits. The Board also unanimously adopted Resolution 5-2025, which waived the statutory thirty (30) day waiting period to allow Jack's Kitchen LLC to file for an On-Premise Liquor License application promptly.

The board discussed and approved the use of the parking lot at Budd Park and a porta-potty for the Bound for the Hound event. They also discussed the Tractor Parade and pond, approving the Tractor Parade contingent upon receiving proper insurance paperwork. Financial matters were addressed, including the acceptance of the August 2025 Trial Balance, Bank Statement, and Revenue/Expenditure Analysis, as well as the audit and approval of bills for payment and budget transfers.

They also discussed replacing street signs, crosswalk signs, and village signs. The board approved the installation of tile in the offices in the Fire Hall and discussed cameras for around the village. The grant for the Air System was also discussed.

The board discussed various topics, including setting a public hearing date for the 2020/21 village budget, the Wild Water Derby, and the CHC Carnival dates. They approved ordering trees and picnic tables to replace damaged ones. An update to the employee vacation package was approved, and a handicapped porta potty will be placed at the fishing ramp. The DPW is addressing drainage issues and will receive a vent system for the wash bay. The board approved ordering masks/respirators for DPW workers. New sounding equipment was approved for purchase for the water department. The police are working on a truck issue.
