The council meeting addressed several key issues. Bids for Phase IV of the Water Distribution System were opened, with Carl Belt Inc. submitting the lowest bid at $1.952M. An Earth Day cleanup was planned. The Police report reviewed the Burning Permit Ordinance. The 2021-2022 budget was approved, including a 4% employee raise. Funding from the American Rescue Plan ($1,442,585.00) was allocated to Phase IV of the water project. A report was given on the Tri-Towns Ambulance & Rescue Service. Concerns were raised regarding the posting of meeting minutes on the town website and the sewer shut-off flapper valve. A resident raised concerns about sewer backups and the sharing of confidential information.
