The committee reviewed and approved 5-year renewals for two products: Aim EC (#279-3241) for chemical thinning lettuce, requiring label corrections to address aquatic toxicity and groundwater protection; and M1840 Growth Regulator (#524-651) for Bayer greenhouse corn seed production, needing label clarifications on mixing instructions, PPE requirements, and persistent product effects on potting media.

The SLN Experts Committee meeting covered several key topics. Discussions included the review and approval of several pesticide applications: Sivanto prime for aphid/leafhopper/whitefly control in celery, Sanidate 12.0 for reducing human pathogens in agricultural water, and a renewal of Prefar 4-E for grass and broadleaf control in cole crops. The committee also addressed the need for a new weed specialist and future meeting dates were set.

The Pesticide Advisory Committee meeting covered several key discussion points. The committee reviewed and approved, with modifications, the Enlist Duo product for a 5-year period, focusing on use patterns and impacts on sensitive crops. The Twinlink Plus product was canceled. The meeting also included an executive session to obtain legal advice and a public comment period. Finally, the committee set the date for the next meeting.

The Pesticide Advisory Committee meeting focused on the review and approval of the Helmquat 3SL alfalfa dessicant for seed production. Discussions included the implications of federal paraquat regulations, specifically regarding ground application, restricted entry intervals (REI), and respiratory protection. The committee approved the label for 5 years with a 48-hour REI, limited to ground application. Public comment was also received.
