The Macoupin County Multi-Jurisdictional All Hazards Mitigation Plan, updated in 2025, serves as a comprehensive roadmap to reduce or eliminate the loss of life and property damage from natural and man-made hazards within Macoupin County, Illinois. The Staunton Township Decennial Committee convened multiple meetings to review and finalize the Township Report for compliance with the Decennial Committees on Local Government Efficiency Act. Discussions included reviewing the sample report, compiling accomplishments, and collecting additional data. The committee addressed intergovernmental agreements, social service agreements, and various township services and programs. They also reviewed studies on governmental efficiencies and identified areas for improvement. The final draft was amended to include recognition by the Staunton Chamber of Commerce.
The Raymond Community Fire Protection District Decennial Efficiency Committee was formed to review the district's operations. The committee reviewed the Illinois Fire Protection District Act, shared services agreements, the district's policies, compliance with the Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts' recommendations, and the district's facilities, apparatus, and equipment. The committee also solicited public input. The committee identified needs such as better water supply, a weather siren, radio communication improvements, increased community awareness, additional turnaround areas, and improved visibility of addresses. The committee concluded that the district operates efficiently but addressing the identified needs is necessary to maintain efficiency.
