The Lassen County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) is dedicated to ensuring that all students with disabilities have access to high-quality education programs, fostering their development as productive global citizens. This commitment is achieved through a focus on fiscal responsibility, program sustainability, and providing high-quality professional development for staff. The SELPA also prioritizes trust, transparency, and collaboration with districts, families, and communities, while making evidence-based, data-driven decisions and ensuring strict compliance with all relevant laws and policies.

The board meeting agenda includes the hearing of individuals addressing the board, receipt and dispatch of correspondence, and reports from both board members and the superintendent. Action items scheduled for consideration include the approval of the Second Interim Report and Criteria and Standards, as well as the approval of the Lassen County Office of Education Transportation Plan.
