This document, the Round Top-Carmine ISD District Wellness Plan, implements policy FFA(LOCAL) to meet school wellness policy requirements. It outlines strategies for stakeholder involvement through the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), defines implementation responsibilities, and details evaluation processes including a triennial assessment. The plan establishes comprehensive goals and objectives focused on nutrition guidelines, nutrition promotion, nutrition education, physical activity, and other school-based activities to promote student wellness and healthy behaviors.

The board conducted a workshop to review the budget, followed by a regular meeting where they approved additional substitutes for the 2020-2021 school year, the TASB Policy Update 115, and resolutions regarding 4-H organizations and the Brazos Valley Regional Day School for the Deaf. Further actions included approving Texas Coop Extension status, updated district handbooks, and delegating contractual authority to the superintendent for specific financial obligations. The board also approved the final invoice for 4M Builders, district salaries for the 2020-2021 school year, and changes to the EIC (Local) policy. The 2020-21 budget and future meeting schedule were reviewed with no action taken.

The board meeting included several key actions, such as the approval of 2016-2017 lunchroom prices, the purchase of additional services from Meal Time, and the execution of an interlocal agreement with Education Service Center, Region 20 for a purchasing cooperative. The board reviewed and approved the 2014-2015 ESL/Bilingual Report and the 2015-2016 Response To Intervention (RTI) Report. Furthermore, the board authorized the solicitation of fuel bids for 2016-2017, approved a contract for lock repairs and replacements at the elementary campus funded by a TASB grant, and adopted Policy Update 104. Additionally, various personnel contracts for the 2016-2017 school year were reviewed and approved, including teacher and counselor positions.

The board meeting included a presentation from high school cheerleaders in recognition of School Board Appreciation Month. The Board reviewed accounts payable and approved holding a public hearing regarding annual performance reports and improvement plans. Additionally, the board approved an invoice from Roth Construction and voted to extend the superintendent's contract by one year following a closed session.

The board conducted a hearing regarding the proposed budget for the upcoming school year and property tax rates. Following the hearing, the board approved the purchase of Chromebooks, amended the previous year's budget, and adopted the budget and property tax rates for the new school year. Additionally, the board approved a two-year contract with the Fayette County Appraisal District, appointed a board director to the district, updated the substitute teacher list, and authorized the purchase of two school buses using bond funds.
