The committee reviewed the current fundraising report, showing 41% of the budget relief goal reached. Discussions included updates on the upcoming Edible Evening fundraiser, sponsorship efforts, and a recap of the 25th-anniversary party. The committee also discussed a potential donor food night and reviewed a statement for grantees regarding the MacKenzie Scott gift.

The Executive Committee meeting focused on the approval of two key items: the finalized First Student Bus Company Contract for FY25-FY27 and the Updated Contract & Check Signing Authority.

The CEO presented an update covering enrollment, attendance, and the FirstLine Dashboard, as well as a report on the impact of Hurricane Ida on school operations and recovery efforts. The Academic Achievement Review included a review of 2021 LEAP test data. A COVID-19 update was given, including discussion of vaccination rates and mandates. The Finance/Audit Committee report covered FY21 financial statements, the budget, and the SBA PPP loan forgiveness. The Governance Committee report included updates on board retreat dates, officers, and board membership. The Operations and Development Committees also presented their reports.

The committee reviewed and updated its 2020-2021 goals, including adding a draft calendar routine oversight to the November meeting and discussing a greenlighting rubric. The October DBE report for fiscal year 20-21 showed 5.42% participation through October 19th, with some payment delays noted. Updates were provided on PreK-4 in-person learning, Q2 in-person/distance learning, middle school in-person return plans, and food service operations. New business included COVID-19 notification protocols. The next meeting was scheduled for November 10th.

The committee discussed preparations for the Edible Evening 2023 fundraiser, including strategies to enhance its success. An update on the FY23 Development Report was presented, showing significant progress toward the annual budget relief goal. The committee reviewed FY23 goals and planned to finalize FY24 goals at the next meeting. A focus on 100% board giving by June 30, 2023, was emphasized.
