The resolution focuses on approving funding for the Erie 250 Grant Program. This program is designed to empower Erie's anchor institutions and grassroots organizations to host signature Semiquincentennial events throughout Erie County, in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. The Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority has agreed to match Erie County funds in the amount of $250,000 for this initiative.
The meeting included a presentation by the Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network. The Treasurer's Report was reviewed and accepted. The Executive Director reported on funds coming into the region from the Commonwealth Department of Revenue, Infinite Erie activities, the PA Route 6 Alliance Conference, and the sale of Bliley Technologies to KYOCERA.
