The City Council meeting agenda covered several substantive items. Discussions included possible action on a replat at 750 Thunder Road and a variance request concerning the private designation and maintenance assumption of Gulfway Court. The council planned to discuss and potentially approve the Treaty Road extension proposal and consider changing City Hall operating hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to a new schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Budget amendments for the FY 2026 General Fund were proposed to increase funding for MCSF Security and MCTF Technology. Further actions included discussing ethical conflicts of interest related to a marketing campaign estimate, the May 2026 General Election, authorizing the Finance Director to make budget transfers within the same fund without exceeding total appropriations, voting on an alternate Tourism Committee member, and appointing new members to the commissions committee.
