The financial statements include an independent auditor's report, management's discussion and analysis, basic financial statements (government-wide and fund financial statements), notes to financial statements, required supplementary information, and other supplementary information. The city's net position is comprised of governmental and business-type activities. Governmental activities include general government, public safety, public works, cemetery, culture and recreation, community development, public transportation, and miscellaneous programs, funded primarily by sales taxes, property taxes, franchise taxes, licenses, permits, and fines. Business-type activities include the water and sewer departments, funded through user fees and charges.

The Ponchatoula Consolidated Board (PCB) convened multiple meetings with various agenda items. Key discussions included variance requests for property boundaries and setbacks, COAs for building renovations and awnings, and reviews of subdivision plans and downtown pedestrian improvements.
