The council appointed a new Town Manager, Greg Chanis, and authorized the execution of his employment agreement. The Town Council reviewed municipal regulations concerning leaf blowers and hedge trimmers, specifically addressing Chapter 30 of the Tiburon Municipal Code. Discussions were held regarding the modification of fines related to Residential Building Reports. Additionally, the Council conducted a public hearing for an appeal of a conditional use permit regarding a proposed mixed-use commercial and residential building project at 1694-1696 Tiburon Boulevard.

The Planning Commission discussed the update of the Tiburon General Plan Circulation Element, including traffic congestion analysis, intersection level of service metrics, and complete street policies, ultimately recommending its adoption along with a negative declaration. The commission also approved a precise plan amendment and a condominium use permit, and initiated a review of a potential real property acquisition for public pedestrian access.

The meeting agenda included Oral Communications, Commission and Staff Briefing, and Public Hearings. Key discussions involved the consideration of a Conditional Use Permit Amendment to expand a Wireless Communication Facility at 1620 Tiburon Boulevard, which was continued at the applicant's request. The Commission was also scheduled to consider recommendations to the Town Council regarding Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments to the Tiburon Municipal Code concerning Secondary Dwelling Units and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units to align with new state laws. An action item involved the adoption of a Resolution Amending a Conditional Use Permit for Congregation Kol Shofar to operate a synagogue and day school at 215 Blackfield Drive.
