Discussions also covered governance updates, committee activities, institutional effectiveness summits, and human resources initiatives, such as the transition to a new recruiting platform and fraud prevention measures.

The meeting included a discussion on quorum requirements and remote participation protocols. The committee reviewed a proposal to allow substitutes for membership and discussed permitting both full-time and associate faculty in that role. Representatives from the Campus Police and Multicultural Education Center provided guidance on immigration enforcement protocols, faculty responsibilities during potential campus incidents, and emergency notification systems. The committee also discussed active shooter preparedness, specifically the 'run, hide, fight' model and available departmental training resources. Updates were provided regarding upcoming KTIS marketing initiatives and the status of the ELEVATE Award nomination process, including the upcoming scoring and final selection procedures.

The committee business included the election of a new Vice Chair and the appointment of an At-Large member to represent a local business organization. The committee reviewed and approved a financial status report detailing Measure I bond expenditures, primarily focused on architectural and submission costs for student housing. Informational updates were provided on the status of the Student Housing Replacement project, the Del Norte Healthcare and Revitalization Project, and the status of deferred maintenance.

The meeting addressed the comprehensive review of the Pelican Bay program, the status of associate faculty workspace, and the rollout of the Ad Astra instructional scheduling platform. A pilot program for 8-week courses was discussed, alongside initiatives to enhance internal communications. The College Council conducted a comprehensive review of multiple Administrative Procedures (AP) and Board Policies (BP) within the 3000 series, resulting in a motion to send them out for constituent review with specific language adjustments. The council also reviewed Interim AP 7217 regarding the faculty prioritization process, approving a revision to the timeline for filling out Faculty Request Forms. Additionally, the meeting included informational presentations regarding the 4-year comprehensive review cycle and the BP/AP tracking sheet.
