This Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Master Plan for the Upper San Antonio River Watershed aims to reduce stormwater runoff pollution by identifying and prioritizing sites for GSI implementation. The plan utilizes existing data and modeling tools to assess pollutant load reduction potential, conduct Triple Bottom Line analyses (economic, social, environmental), and consider climate change predictions. Key focus areas include stakeholder engagement, guiding decision-makers on GSI application to maximize water quality benefits, and addressing local flooding concerns. The ultimate vision is for this plan to serve as a template for other sub-basins in the San Antonio River Basin that do not meet water quality standards.

The budget supports the mission, goals and objectives of the River Authority's approved strategic plan. The Strategic Plan is focused on promoting action and delivering results. The Board of Directors approved a revised mission and vision for the River Authority that more directly communicates the River Authority's aspiration to leverage the agency's expertise and passion to inspire everyone to engage in the protection and enhancement of the creeks and rivers with in the San Antonio River Basin.

The San Antonio River Authority's FY25 budget and work plan focuses on supporting the organization's mission, goals, and objectives. Key priorities include facilities improvements, the Bexar County Creeks and Trails Program, Westside Creeks Ecosystem Restoration, park development, and a new Strategic Plan. The budget includes funding for projects such as the D2MR Upgrade, Freshwater Mussel Reintroduction, Facilities Design & Construction, Cibolo Water Quality Modeling, and Watershed Master Plan Update. It also addresses personnel adjustments, wastewater flow monitoring, and utility fleet vehicles.

The San Antonio River Authority's FY 2019/20 Adopted Budget and Work Plan supports the mission, goals and objectives of the River Authority's approved Strategic Plan. The budget provides funding for the current level of services, and funds additional investments in resources. The River Authority is fast-tracking the completion of vital flood risk management projects and developing predictive flood modeling technology. The River Authority is dedicated to inspiring actions for healthy creeks and rivers, protect and enhance water quality and preserve and restore natural habitats and aquatic ecosystems. The River Authority will acquire more park land in Bexar County and is continuing to invest in a community partnership to create a new park in Karnes County. The River Authority emphasizes the value placed on its employees, focuses on people services, and strives to improve service efficiencies and the expertise that sets us apart from other organizations.
