The Northern Lehigh Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan is designed to enable the Borough of Slatington and the Townships of Heidelberg, Lynn, Lowhill, Washington, and Weisenberg to create a shared vision for the future. This plan allows each municipality to maintain its autonomy while collectively leveraging geographic similarities, addressing common priorities, and managing development effectively across the region.

The Heidelberg Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting on October 17, 2024, approving the minutes of the September 19, 2024 meetings, payments of bills, and various monthly reports. Key decisions included tabling the Buckery Road Bridge Replacement Bids discussion to the next meeting, approving the Hollenbach Rd/Landis Minor Subdivision sewage planning module, and accepting Eastern Salt Company as the low bidder for winter salt. A public hearing for map and zoning ordinance amendments was scheduled for November 25, 2024.
