Additionally, a four-year interlocal agreement for emergency medical rescue and fire services with Tecumseh Township was approved, and a new appointment was made for an at-large board member to the local development finance authority.

The council meeting addressed several operational and community items. This included a public hearing regarding sidewalk assessment and improvements in the southeast quadrant. An officer was presented with a departmental citation award for bravery and life-saving actions. Updates were provided regarding election administration, youth soccer programs, tree planting initiatives, and various police and public works reports. The council authorized the purchase of a new John Deere Gator for the cemetery, promoted a Department of Public Works crew leader to Superintendent, and reviewed the downtown streetscape master plan.
