Board meetings and strategic plans from Dan Pearson's organization
The 2023-2024 Arkansas Energy and Environment Innovation (EEI) plan outlines an emissions inventory and priority assessment of energy and environmental solutions to guide future investments. The plan prioritizes measures that are implementation-ready, can be completed in the near term, and advance statewide economic growth, community safety, infrastructure workforce preparedness, natural resource preservation, and reliable energy options. Key areas of focus include anaerobic digester implementation, landfill gas expansion, EV charging and hydrogen fueling corridor development, customer renewable partnership support, public property innovation and resiliency, agricultural and wastewater pump repair, agricultural emissions research, foodware reuse education, and public education and workforce development. The plan targets significant reductions in GHG emissions through sustainable transportation, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and agricultural innovations, with an emphasis on benefiting low-income and rural communities.
The Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission initiated a rulemaking process to repeal Regulation No. 10, which governs the Revolving Loan Fund Program. A public hearing was held to receive comments, and after considering the matter, the Commission decided to repeal the regulation in its entirety.
