The meeting included recognitions for School Board Recognition Month, long-serving board members, and a former board member. There were recognitions of early hires, state championship winning athletes in volleyball and cross country. An instructional report highlighted professional development activities, coaching culture, and strategic renewal plan updates.

The board meeting included recognitions for students with perfect scores and schools with good or excellent ratings. Schools were celebrated for their achievements, with representatives from various elementary, middle, and high schools being recognized. The meeting also addressed a policy change regarding the prohibition of personal electronic devices during the day and a financial report.

The board conducted election of board officers, including a chairman, vice chairman, and secretary. The board also recognized new teaching hires for the 2025-2026 school year. The Mason Lodge of Belzer donated to local schools' special needs programs. The Anderson one and two adult education program was recognized as one of the top five programs in South Carolina. The Persville High School volleyball team was recognized for winning a state championship. The board also discussed the Christmas productions that the schools are doing, and the financial report.

The meeting included the swearing in of a new board member, Mr. Chris Carr. The agenda was approved, followed by the approval of the August 26 meeting minutes. The new director of finance, Miss Cindy Durham, was introduced. The chairman of the career and technology center was recognized, along with Kimberly Terry (teacher of the year for 2025), Holly Rexdale (support staff member of the year), and Anna Cole (induction teacher of the year). A financial report was presented, covering local accounts, investment accounts, and food service CDs. The building program was discussed, including revenue, expenses, and projects in progress. The local option sales tax report showed collections from May, with a portion going to property tax relief and the remainder for capital. The revenue and expenditure reports for the school board were reviewed. An instructional report was given, highlighting test score data and the state's goal for students to be college, career, or military ready.
