The council presented a community recognition award to Skip Farmer. Old business included the approval of a $50,000 settlement regarding the IGA building and a CF1 form correction for Hooks. New business focused on the approval of the Whistler pay application #1 for the Rider Lift Station. Additionally, the council reviewed and approved the claims and payroll allowance report.

The board conducted a bid opening for the Emerson Street water line project, reviewing proposals from Hoopersign Contracting, Kiefer Brothers, and Parker Excavating, and subsequently moved to take these bids under advisement for further review. Additionally, the board approved a settlement offer regarding a sewer bill for a property previously housing an IGA, which includes terms for the owner to adjust interior plumbing to accommodate a new water meter location.

The meeting included discussions on the agreement with Proud City for website services, an amendment to the design agreement for the TMMI lift station phase two, the formation of an Emergency Response Team in partnership with the Gibson County Sheriff's Office, and an update regarding a fleet management proposal with Enterprise.

The council recognized a community award recipient, introduced new police department hires, and discussed a potential partnership with Enterprise Fleet Management for vehicle fleet services. Discussions also occurred regarding the status of the IG building, including water and sewer billing issues and property development considerations. Additionally, the council reviewed a funding proposal for a new website.

The commission reviewed a variance application for a property located at 720 South Hart Street. The application for a structure size that failed to meet the minimum square footage requirements stipulated by local development ordinances was discussed. The commission ultimately decided not to recommend approval of the variance and resolved to pass the matter to the city council for further consideration.
