The meeting commenced with the pledge of allegiance and a moment of silence. Key agenda items included the addition of an RFP request for sludge hauling for two Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) to potentially save costs. Further additions to the agenda covered correspondence regarding a letter from the District Attorney concerning the delegation of prosecutorial authority to the Egan Capalino law firm. The board approved the minutes from the February 4, 2026 meeting and accepted the monthly revenue reports for January from various town departments. A public hearing was held regarding Community Block Grants to fund a new, larger bathroom facility at Lraange Park, replacing an old structure and doubling capacity. Separately, the board heard a presentation concerning a request for a letter of support for a Farmland Protection Implementation Grant application by the Duchess Land Conservancy for the Robert Misella property. Due to potential conflicts of interest regarding property adjacency, the Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor recused themselves from the discussion and vote on the letter of support.

This special meeting focused on the LaGrange Town Center project. The applicant presented information about their work with various agencies, explaining the timeline since their last appearance before the board. Key discussion points included environmental review challenges, particularly concerning wetlands and endangered species; the project's adherence to traditional neighborhood design principles; and the proposed FEIS (Final Environmental Impact Statement). Board members raised questions and offered suggestions for the FEIS, covering aspects such as residential units, parking, civic space, phasing, pedestrian routes, utilities, and architectural design standards. Concerns were also raised about traffic, stormwater regulations, and the project's long-term maintenance plan. The board decided to schedule a further discussion at their regular meeting on February 25, 2021, to allow absent members to contribute.
