The City Commission held a regular meeting where they honored the employee of the month, discussed the upcoming Passenger Appreciation Day, and presented a resolution to designate a specific day for this event. Additionally, the commission decided to table an interlocal agreement regarding a mental health officer grant to allow for further negotiations.

During the regular session, the Commission conducted a flag ceremony and prayer. The Mayor provided an activity update, highlighting the Veterans Health Center, a Cinco de Mayo event, and the importance of voter turnout in upcoming elections. Additionally, the Commission issued proclamations recognizing Frank Pancho Maldonado for his military service and athletic achievements, Berta Lucille Caballero for her long-standing career in education, and Renato Cardenas for his contributions to the community as a businessman and philanthropist.

The City Commission discussed activity reports from the Mayor and commissioners, including the successful CicLAvia event and an update on the Commodity Supplemental Food Program for seniors.
