The board received a presentation regarding the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association, marking the 17th consecutive year the county has earned this recognition for financial management. Additionally, the Tourism Development Director provided an annual update on the department's marketing strategies, the use of tourist development tax revenue, performance metrics for advertising campaigns, and upcoming fiscal year objectives, including the promotion of local arts, culture, and outdoor recreational assets.

The board meeting featured a recognition ceremony for an emergency management volunteer for their heroism during an incident. The board approved a proclamation designating Public Works Week. A Citizens Academy graduation was held to honor the newest class members.
