The meeting included updates on the Dodge Building Project and approved a resolution to enter into a Lease-Purchase Agreement with Nebraska Bank to fund the project. The board also approved repairs for the Howells bleachers and preventative maintenance on the Dodge bleachers. Lunch prices for the 2022-23 school year were approved, as well as the Propane Contract for the same period. Additionally, HDC's membership to the NRCSA Organization was approved, and the purchase of a new camera server for the Howells-Attendance Center was authorized.

The meeting addressed several topics, including updates on facilities and purchases related to the Dodge Building, updates for the 2021-22 school year, and a special budget workshop. The board approved the second reading of board policy 3132, which includes written Internal Controls, Policies, and Procedures for NDE's Fiscal Desk Reviews. A contract with gWorks was approved to redraw the Howells-Dodge district map following the census. The student handbook was approved with addressed changes for the 2021-22 school year. The board also approved entering negotiations with BD Construction of Kearney to be the CM @ Risk Manager for the Dodge Building Project.

The meeting included discussions and possible actions on various topics such as the first reading of Board Policy #4063 regarding methods of payment for extra duties and extended contracts, NASB membership dues, the purchase of a new bus, sanding/painting/finishing of the gym floor plan, and the review and revision of the Safe to School Return Plan for COVID. Additionally, there was an approval of the budget for the Dodge Project, a closed session for discussing certified and classified salaries and wages, approval of teachers' negotiated agreement for the 2022-2023 school year, and approval of non-certified staff hourly wages and other adjustments.
