The board goals include implementing the strategic planning process, progressing toward board certification, and improving community communications. The district goals focus on enhancing students' academic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and technology, as well as promoting their social-emotional and physical well-being. Additionally, there is an emphasis on increasing family involvement through improved communication, family events, and parent workshops.

The Board discussed personnel matters, including the retirement of a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant, the approval of personnel for nursing services and IEP requirements for after-school activities, and additional hours for staff to fulfill IEP requirements. Financial discussions included tuition contract agreements with Newton Board of Education, a temporary use of school equipment agreement with Andover Regional School District, and the approval of a quote for access control equipment at C.E. Lawrence Elementary School. The Board also revised the bid award for site improvements at Wantage Elementary School and approved a professional services agreement for the Parking Lot Expansion Project at C.E. Lawrence Elementary School, authorizing the submission of plans to the Department of Education. Special services included approving educational evaluations and risk assessments for students. Curriculum discussions covered the approval of field trips.

It also covered financial matters, including the authorization of the 2023-2024 Preschool Expansion Aid (PEA) application, approval of a proposal for electrical work for copier installations, approval of the operation and rates for the Before and After Care Program for the 2023-2024 school year, approval of professional day travel, and approval of a student transportation contract bid award.
