The meeting featured a superintendent's report highlighting current testing progress, a successful state visit, and flood damage assessment at the Jr. High school. A representative from Delta Restoration provided updates on auditorium remediation, including the identification of asbestos in room 112 with no immediate safety concerns. The finance department provided a budget update, and project managers discussed the ongoing Jr. High HVAC project, noting scheduling adjustments due to flooding and an increase in the statewide insurance deductible. An executive session was also conducted.

The board meeting centered on the discussion and adoption of the 2026-2027 academic calendar. Data was presented regarding staff preference for traditional versus alternative calendar structures, and the board ultimately voted to accept the recommendation of the Personnel Policy Committee to implement the alternative calendar. The board also convened in executive session, during which no formal actions were taken.
