The Board addressed several items, including the approval of reports from Parents as Teachers & Pre School. Financial matters approved included current monthly financial reports, the bill list, Prop S expenses, and budget amendments, as well as the approval for the disposal of a non-working kitchen refrigerator. The Board approved an update to Policy 4120 and rescheduled the January Board Work Session to July 23rd, 2026. Key approvals included acknowledging the order of candidates for the 4/7/26 Board Election, setting the SY 25/26 graduation date for May 15th, 2025, offering an Early Notification Retirement Incentive of $4,500 for SY 25-26, and approving a School Picture Contract with Wagner Photography for SY 26/27 & 27/28. Administrative reports were reviewed, covering attendance, discipline, construction/renovation updates, and legislative updates. The Board approved the resignation of one employee and hired a Substitute Teacher and a JH ELA Teacher. Finally, the Superintendent's evaluation for the 2025-26 school year was approved.

The board recognized School Board Appreciation Month and acknowledged members with terms ending. Discussions included a parent request regarding girls' softball and reports on school safety, technology, and textbooks. The board approved monthly financial reports, bills, and the disposal list. Administrative reports covered building-level updates such as parent-teacher conferences and enrollment, as well as superintendent updates on facilities, grounds, construction, and legislative matters.

The Valley R-VI School Board addressed several administrative actions during the special meeting. Key actions included the approval of the date change for the subsequent April Board Meeting to April 14th, 2026. Furthermore, the Board accepted resignations for the Assistant High School Girls Basketball Coach and the Assistant High School Girls Volleyball Coach. The Board also approved several hires for the upcoming 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school years, including an Assistant Junior High Baseball Coach, a Substitute Teacher and Substitute Bus Driver, an FBLA Sponsor, a MOSIS Coordinator and Safety Coordinator, and the Junior High/High School Principal.

The regular monthly meeting included the approval of various Board Reports related to Farm/Ag. Education, FFA, and Facilities/Grounds/Custodial matters aligning with CSIP Goals. Key actions included approving the Monthly Financial Reports, Bill List, Prop S Expenses, and Budget Amendments. The Board approved the SY 2026-27 Calendar and the April Board Election Ballot for Washington & Iron County. Additionally, job descriptions were approved for the District Safety Coordinator and Assistant Safety Coordinator, and the Professional Development Coordinator stipend was increased. The Board approved the addition of an Assistant JH Baseball Coach to extra duty positions and accepted Early Notification of Retirement Requests. The purchase of Tool Boxes for Custodial/Maintenance Staff was approved. A significant decision involved approving OSBA/Anthem as the District's Health Insurance provider, along with several PPO and HSA plan options for SY 26-27, including designating the OSBA's 6000/7000 Choice HSA as the Board-Paid Health Insurance for full-time employees. The Board reviewed Building Principals' Student Benchmark Assessment Mid-Year Results and Building Level Data, and the Superintendent provided updates on construction tours, bus inspections, staff intent forms, and legislative matters. The Board hired one substitute teacher and accepted the resignation of the Junior/Senior High School Principal and several associated roles effective June 30th, 2026. Principal evaluations were approved, and the date for the next meeting was set.

Discussions included potential future Girls Softball programs and reviews of school safety and technology reports.
