The Union County Board of County Commissioners convened for a final budget hearing. The proposed millage rate for the upcoming fiscal year was presented and approved. Adjustments were made to the final budget, including modifications to Mosquito Control, Library grants, and LESA funding. Discussions involved relocating the Courthouse's maintenance position to the Sheriff's Office and designating funds for Code Enforcement Miscellaneous Expenses. Additionally, opioid funding was moved into EMS's Training budget to address training needs within the department.
