The meeting included discussions and reviews of several key areas. Reports were provided on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) actions, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education Board of Commissioners (CCNE) actions, and Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) actions. The board reviewed and considered national nursing accredited pre-licensure nursing education programs, including substantive change reports and site visit reports from various universities. Additionally, there was a review of non-national nursing accredited pre-licensure nursing education programs, including new program applications and accreditation candidacy presentations. The board also discussed dialysis technicians, finance and budget information, committee reports, and miscellaneous items, including a report on Parkdale.

The Board convened in Executive Session and then resumed in Public Session to discuss and act on several matters. The Board adopted the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and hearing examiners recommendations to revoke the privilege to practice for D. Hill's Virginia Multistate License and West Virginia license. Additionally, the Board approved a motion to summarily suspend license #49508 for J. Jeffers.

The Practice Committee meeting included discussions and updates. A representative from CAMC Vandalia Health requested clarification regarding the RN scope of practice with the administration of anesthetic agents, given changes in WV Code and the Board's recension of a position statement. The committee also reviewed and considered a proposed administration of anesthetic position statement, recommending it to the full Board for review and potential adoption.

The meeting included discussions and actions related to pre-licensure nursing education programs, including reviews of NCLEX-RN reports, accreditation actions, and annual reports from various universities and colleges. The board also discussed legislation, finance and budget information, and committee reports, including discipline review and practice. Additionally, the board addressed the administration of anesthetics by registered nurses and received a report from the New Program Definition Taskforce regarding hybrid programs.

The Practice Committee meeting involved the review and approval of the agenda and previous meeting minutes. The committee discussed and recommended changes to the 'Accepting or rejecting an assignment - guidelines for the nurse,' specifically updating the reference to the current version of the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.
