The City of Chehalis' 2011 Water System Plan outlines the management, facilities, operations, and compliance of its water distribution system. The plan provides updated estimates for population growth, updates the computerized distribution system model, revises the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and financial needs, and incorporates new state law provisions, focusing on water-use efficiency and alignment with local land-use plans. It identifies capital project needs for the next six and twenty years to ensure the provision of safe and reliable water supplies.

The Chehalis Community Renaissance Team (CCRT) meetings in 2012 covered a range of topics, including updates on various projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the community. Discussions included the Chehalis Foundation's presentation on Christmas decorations, updates on the wayfinding project, the children's museum, and the Chehalis Storefront Art Project. The team also discussed the business incubator, Market Boulevard trees, and the Louisiana Avenue Roundabout. Additional topics included marketing efforts, community events, and collaborations with local organizations to promote economic development and revitalization in Chehalis.

The City of Chehalis is considering a request from Newaukum Ventures to amend its Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map to conform with Lewis County Ordinance 1337. This ordinance includes the "Chehalis Westlund-Enbody" properties within the City of Chehalis Urban Growth Area and requires a conservation easement over the 100-year floodplain plus the 2007 mapped flood area on these parcels. The requested zoning designation for the properties is MRC-Mixed Residential/Commercial.

The Chehalis City Council held a special meeting to address an emergency situation involving a significant water main line break under I-5 at 13th Street. The council discussed and approved Resolution No. 21-2022, formally declaring the existence of an emergency and authorizing the City Manager to take necessary actions for the repair and replacement of the damaged water main. The resolution also included waiving competitive bidding requirements to expedite the repair process and ensuring the restoration of water service to affected residents and facilities.

The audit report covers the City of Chehalis' financial activities and condition for the period January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. It includes an independent auditor's report on internal control over financial reporting and compliance, as well as a report on the financial statements. The financial section presents fund resources, uses arising from cash transactions, and notes to the financial statements, including details on accounting policies, budget compliances, deposits, investments, environmental liabilities, joint ventures, leases, long-term liabilities, and other disclosures such as construction commitments, self-insurance, health and welfare benefits, other post-employment benefits, and pension plans.
