This document describes the Texas Strategic Staffing Residency Program, a collaborative initiative involving Region One Education Service Center, Mercedes ISD, and Utrgv. The program's goal is to establish a sustainable, year-long paid residency for aspiring teachers, providing them with comprehensive training and practical experience. It aims to prepare highly qualified educators who are ready to effectively lead classrooms from day one, ensuring an equitable educational experience for all students.

Region One ESC's Project LIFT Limitless 2.0 is a student symposium and continuation of student empowerment camps for partner school districts. The project aims to foster students' personal skills and enhance leadership capabilities, providing them with necessary resources to improve school climate, attendance, and grades, ultimately leading to success in state exams. It emphasizes empowering students to overcome obstacles and move forward when facing difficulties.

The Region One ESC Board of Directors met to review and approve the recommendation of ROPC Professional Consultant Services RFP 23-0127 Extension 1 of 4, effective February 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026, with the option to extend up to three (3) additional one (1) year periods, if all parties are in agreement. The following vendors were awarded.

This document, an alignment chart for Texas Title I, Part C, outlines a strategic plan to improve educational outcomes for migratory students from 2025 to 2026. Key focus areas include enhancing Reading Language Arts and Mathematics proficiency for students in grades 3-12, improving school readiness for children aged 3-5, increasing high school graduation rates and providing services to out-of-school youth, and delivering comprehensive non-instructional support services to students and their families, alongside professional development for staff. The plan aims to address achievement gaps and ensure equitable access to educational resources and support.

The meeting focused on discussing the assets and gaps in the region and how to overcome these gaps, with recommendations moving forward. It is important to bring the gaps to light so they can be discussed and come up with solutions on how to close these gaps for the community. Discussions on how to form partnerships or even career paths for students were held with different entities from the workforce to higher education to prek through 12.
