This Implementation Plan details the strategic roadmap for Maine Prairie Alternative Education High School's integration into the California Community Schools Partnership Program. It outlines five core strategies: fostering shared commitment, centering community-based learning, enhancing collaborative leadership, ensuring sustainable staffing and resources, and building strategic community partnerships. The plan aims to improve student outcomes such as graduation rates, foster college and career readiness, enhance social-emotional support, and strengthen community engagement through culturally relevant teaching and anti-bias training.

The board discussed a resolution regarding the implementation of a hybrid reopening model for the return to in-person instruction, including emergency provisions for potential labor disruptions. Following public comment and board discussion, the resolution was tabled for consideration at a future meeting.

The board meeting included a closed session covering personnel performance evaluations, labor negotiations, and anticipated litigation. During the open session, the board discussed and approved a consent calendar, adopted screening instruments for early education reading assessment in compliance with Senate Bill 114, and approved a revised Conflict of Interest Code. Additionally, the board received public comments regarding a proposed teen center and the condition of the high school theater.

The Governing Board covered several items including a review of the second interim report from the Solano County Office of Education and approval of the consent agenda. The Board appointed a new principal for Maine Prairie High School, received an update on district intercom and phone system status, and reviewed the progress of the elementary science adoption pilot. Additionally, the Board reviewed certificated substitute rates for surrounding districts and heard reports from the SEIU president and a community member regarding district wages.

The Governing Board held a meeting that included a closed session covering personnel appointments, discipline, performance evaluations, and student discipline. The public business portion addressed various administrative and contractual matters, such as personnel actions, student representative reports, and a nutrition services program update. The board approved a teacher credentialing waiver, several architect services agreements for school modernization projects, an inspection services proposal, and a construction bid award for the modernization of the middle school site.
