The Local School Improvement Council and Raleigh County Schools CTE Advisory meeting included a presentation to the Raleigh County Board of Education covering current data from WVDE, discipline data, and cell phone policy actions. Official WVDE CTE Indicators were presented to develop and update the School Strategic Plan and the District Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment. Updated discipline data highlighted vaping as the primary offense, while cell phone violations were minimal. Board members discussed CTE's impact on reducing the dropout rate, the defense of adult programming, and the addition of CTE to elementary schools. The date for the upcoming Festival of Trees was announced.

The meeting included training for LSIC members, an update on Raleigh County Career and Technical Education, and a review of completer numbers and placement data. The council discussed program updates, strategic plan goals, discipline data, and House Bill 2003 on cell phone use in schools. The Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment was reviewed, and recruitment activities for the next school year were discussed. The meeting also covered upcoming community education courses and the Festival of Trees.

The meeting included the election of LSIC Officers. An update was provided on the current status of Raleigh County Career and Technical Education, including the District Class IV Pinnacle Award. Completer numbers for 2023-24 were shared, along with placement data and Governor's Workforce Credential recipients. Program updates across the county were discussed, including middle school CTE programs and high school students taking CTE courses.
