The meeting primary focus was the presentation of full application scores by the Technical Advisory Board to the Project Selection Board. Following this, the Project Selection Board conducted the selection of funding for projects relevant to the 2026 application cycle. The session also included an opportunity for public comments.

The agenda includes a review of the treasury report and oyster tag sales, as well as various committee reports covering public and private oyster grounds, enforcement, legislation, legal matters, research, coastal restoration, marketing, health, and aquaculture. New business items include a summary of the previous oyster season, a discussion of the legislative report, and an update regarding the LOOP oil spill.

The meeting agenda includes a discussion on the Oyster Metapopulation Modeling for Barataria Bay conducted by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

The Louisiana State Wildlife Action Plan serves as the state's official conservation blueprint for its fish, wildlife, plants, and natural communities. This non-regulatory document guides the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and its partners in maximizing the efficacy of research and conservation efforts, particularly for Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) and their habitats. The plan details strategies to address data gaps, identifies threats, outlines conservation actions, and establishes Conservation Opportunity Areas (COAs) to prevent species from becoming threatened or endangered and recover those already listed.

This document outlines a project to construct a new, state-of-the-art shooting range facility for Gretna Gun Works. The initiative aims to replace an outdated and publicly inaccessible underground range with a 1500 sq. ft. modern facility featuring 5 shooting lanes, enhanced noise mitigation, lead remediation, and full handicap accessibility. Supported by a Planning and Development Grant and partnerships with Range Systems, the project seeks to offer a comprehensive public shooting experience, including rentals, sales, gunsmithing, training opportunities, competitions, and hunter safety programs to a multi-parish population.
