The approval involves adjustments to the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's budget for 2025-26, utilizing Discretionary General Funding and the Bloomington Community Benefit/Improvement Reserve. The ALPR systems aim to enhance public safety by capturing vehicle data and license plates, comparing them with law enforcement databases, and alerting officers to vehicles of interest.

The Board of Supervisors reviewed and approved Amendment No. 2 to the agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. The amendment pertains to NICE Gold maintenance for remote and on-site radio, telephony, and Inform maintenance services. This increases the total contract amount and extends the contract term. The approval ensures the continuation of dispatch services for law enforcement agencies and personnel within the unincorporated areas and contract cities of the County.

The Board of Supervisors discussed and approved contracts with Axon Enterprise, Inc. for the Taser 10 Certification Program with Virtual Reality and Evidence.com software licensing. The approval includes a non-standard term regarding liability limits. The contracts aim to provide safety personnel with less-lethal options and upgrade the department's technology. The board also authorized the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator or Undersheriff to execute change orders, subject to County Counsel review, and directed them to transmit all change orders to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.

The meeting addressed the authorization of a non-competitive Purchase Order to Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the purchase of 160 radios for patrol vehicles. The approval allows the Department to use Asset Replacement Reserve funding for the modernization of radio equipment, ensuring compatibility with the existing Public Safety Radio System.

The recommendation is to approve agreements with six vendors for facility management support services at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. These agreements, totaling $5,000,000 over five years, cover emergency situations and routine maintenance/repairs. The services include painting, asphalt and concrete repair, floor maintenance, door and system maintenance, gate and fence maintenance, cabinet and countertop maintenance, plumbing repair, and electrical repair. The funding is supported by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and departmental revenue.
