The committee approved a reimbursement request for a sewer backup deductible and a request from the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce to waive fees for several community events. Additionally, the committee authorized the allocation of Special Project Funds for the design of terrace seating at Evans-Bosshard Park. The Council received updates from the Sparta Garden Club and Sparta Art Society regarding their projects. Ordinances were passed concerning a parking prohibition on S L Street and a zoning classification change from M-2 to R-1. Additionally, the Council approved resolutions for two certified survey maps for Igor Sharkevich and Simon Yoder. A report from the City Administrator was presented, and the Council conducted a closed session to discuss litigation strategy regarding the Sand Creek Landfill and personnel matters.

Additionally, the committee reviewed and approved sign permits for three different businesses within the city.
