The Executive Committee meeting commenced with the approval of the November 4th, 2025 executive committee meeting minutes. The Safety and Security Committee meeting addressed the results of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) intruder detection audits conducted at Kip Texas schools for the 2025-2026 school year, where five findings were reported out of 22 audits. The committee discussed the corrective actions required, which include staff retraining and creating plans of action. The discussion confirmed that the findings did not indicate major systemic concerns but rather some flukes and human errors correctable through established processes. The meeting adjourned to executive session to review the details of the audit findings, deliberation regarding security devices, personnel matters, and cybersecurity, before returning to open session. The next meeting was scheduled for March 4th.
