The Utah Board of Pardons and Parole conducted a hearing regarding Ralph Leroy Menzies' Commutation Petition. The board carefully considered testimony from witnesses called by both Mr. Menzies and the State, as well as testimony from victim representatives. After reviewing all information and arguments, the Board did not find cause to commute Mr. Menzies' death sentence and denied the Commutation Petition, making no change to the sentence imposed.
