The meeting included discussion and action to approve the purchase of a 2013 Freightliner Coronado SD Dump Truck from Art's Trucks & Equipment, to open and score bids for Solid Waste Transfer Containers, and to select and award the contract for Solid Waste Transfer Containers to Grande Dumpsters, authorizing the County Judge to negotiate the contract with legal approval.

The special meeting included a presentation by MTC on the status of the Willacy County Regional Detention Facility, followed by a discussion on the facility. The court also deliberated on the formation of a Willacy County Regional Detention Facility Transition Team, but no action was taken. Finally, the approval of monthly reports, the treasurer's report, the tax collector's report, budget amendments, travel requests and claims were discussed.
