This document presents the School Plans for Student Achievement for Noddin, Guadalupe, and Union Middle Schools for the 2025-2026 academic year. The plans aim to raise student achievement and close identified achievement gaps by outlining improvement processes, establishing specific goals in English Language Arts and Mathematics, and detailing programs and services. Key focus areas across the schools include implementing targeted, research-based interventions, leveraging data-driven decision-making, and enhancing academic and social-emotional supports for specific subgroups such as English Learners, socioeconomically disadvantaged students, and students with disabilities.

This plan is committed to closing the achievement gap and raising achievement for all students, preparing them for college, careers, and responsible citizenship. It focuses on accelerating academic progress for key subgroups including Multilingual Learners, Hispanic, socioeconomically disadvantaged, and Students with Disabilities. Paramount importance is placed on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and mental health. The plan outlines goals for student achievement in English Language Arts and mathematics, targeting specific subgroups, through data-driven instruction, targeted interventions, and professional development.

The LCAP Goal 5: Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) Plan for Union School District addresses the disproportionate identification of Hispanic students for special education under Specific Learning Disability. Following a 2019 designation by the California Department of Education, the plan outlines activities including a Multilingual Learner Teacher Committee, Literacy Foundational Skills in K-8, Inclusion and Differentiation, teacher coaching, and professional development in areas like GLAD and Science of Reading. The plan aims to eliminate disproportionality, ensure meaningful instructional access, and enhance student outcomes through a continuous improvement model, before considering further special education assessments.

This strategic plan for Union Middle School aims to close achievement gaps and elevate academic performance for all students, with a specific focus on Socioeconomically Disadvantaged, English Learners, Hispanic, and Students with Disabilities in English Language Arts and mathematics. The plan outlines goals to prepare students for college and careers by fostering a safe, nurturing, and student-centered environment, promoting innovation, and building character. Key strategies include providing rigorous instruction, targeted intervention services, integrating technology (STEAM and Digital Citizenship), and incorporating Social Emotional Learning into daily activities, all aligned with district goals for academic achievement, college and career readiness, social emotional well-being, and family engagement.

The Board conducted a special meeting to interview 14 eligible applicants for a vacant seat on the Board of Education caused by a resignation. Following the interview and deliberation process, the Board appointed a new member to serve the remainder of the vacant seat's term, and the newly appointed member took the oath of office.
