The board also discussed and approved several new business items, including budget transfers, warrants, and acceptance of the Claims Audit Report. Additionally, the board approved various personnel actions, including resignations, appointments, and leaves.

The meeting included a motion to rename the William Floyd High School Library as the Jean and Awesome Sycamore Library to honor Jean and Ox, who faithfully served the Floyd community for forty years as a trustee and vice president.

The virtual town hall meeting was held to share and answer questions regarding the William Floyd School District reopening plan. Key discussion points included the district's hybrid plan, the absence of mandatory COVID-19 testing for students, mask requirements, health and temperature checks, and the option to switch between in-school and online learning. The district supplied over hundred thousand grand and gold meals for the community.
